If someone calls you on the phone and tells you that they need your help and that if you just let them send you checks for clearing you will make money, you are being scammed. If someone calls you on the phone and tells you that they will make you money if you just let them have your Debit card information to use your account to clear checks, you are being scammed. If you are foolish enough to fall into either of these traps you will likely need a Bankruptcy Attorney sooner or latter. When you endorse a check and put it in your account you have become the guarantor of that check. When you let someone deposit a check into your account using your debit card, you electronically endorse that check, and you become the guarantor of that check. DO you want to guarantee some stranger’s checks to your bank?
